Much of our work involves measuring the difference others make. Getting involved and making our own difference is also an important part of who we are as individuals and as an organization.
The CCR team had a great time participating in the 2019 Joggin for Frogmen 5k benefiting The Navy SEAL Foundation. We are proud to support such an awesome organization and look forward to participating in future events! The Navy SEAL Foundation
The Navy SEAL Foundation is focused on preservation of the Naval Special Warfare (NSW) force and their families. It provides immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the NSW community and is a source of empowerment and comfort for the families of the fallen. The Foundation offers a comprehensive set of programs specifically designed to improve health and welfare, build and enhance resiliency, empower and educate families and provide critical support during times of illness, injury or loss.

CCR is proud to announce that Joe Eberstein, Program Manager for the San Diego County Marijuana Prevention Initiative will be a member of the Proposition 64 Advisory group through the Dept. of Health Care Services. The purpose of the Prop 64 Advisory Group is to share emerging trends in youth substance use, make recommendations to DHCS on best practices for youth substance prevention, and provide feedback on YEPEITA-funded program assessment, implementation and evaluation.

MPI will be particiapting in the 2019 OCENA Educational Conference. The Orange County Emergency Nurses Association (OCENA) conference will be on August 6th at Children's Hospital in Orange County. Attendees will be discussing a range of topics including youth substance use. This will be the second year MPI has partnered with the ENA Orange Coast chapter.

Registration is now open for the 2019 Western State Marijuana and Opioid Summits being held from Nov 5-8, 2019. The location will be at the beautiful, Westin San Diego. Experts in the field of substance use prevention, treatment, research, health, policy and Law Enforcement will be discussing strategies to combat drug use and abuse.

Noise from a large San Marcos house party drew complaints. The complaints drew sheriff’s deputies. And there, the discovery of several underage but apparently drunk or high attendees prompted an arrest — for the guy throwing the party.
Deputies found more than 100 party-goers at the bash shortly before midnight June 27, the Sheriff’s Department said. Many were under 21. Several had been drinking alcohol or smoking marijuana.
